Our mission is, and always has been, to provide better chorizo and longaniza products to as many people as possible.

It has always been our highest priority to provide excellent food and service to all of our customers. Aside from keeping up with all regulations regarding sanitation and maintenance of fresh products, and being constantly monitored by our production team as well as USDA inspection for consistent quality control, we make sure to go above and beyond when it comes to the ingredients we put in our products and the care we provide to each customer.

History

Our recipe was born in El Salvador where our founder, Rafael Orlando Hernandez, first started perfecting his blend of herbs and spices to bring the perfect chorizo to the kitchen table.

 

In 1995 Rafael, while living in Los Angeles, CA, realized that this recipe had to be introduced to the latino community and to the world.

Other chorizo and longaniza companies were putting out greasy, low quality products. He knew that with his recipe, partnered with better meat and better ingredients he could give these latin staple-foods the recognition they deserved. He began by trying to partner with well-known producers of chorizo.

However, after seeing their lack of dedication and willingness to uphold his standard of quality, he decided to venture on his own and start a new type of company: one that was dedicated to people that wanted better tasting products.

 

This is how Chorizo Providencia was born and it has thrived by operating under the same principles for over 25 years. Better food, better service, and better products made available for everyone.
